Meet Davey (Part 1)

-Davey Kirk Davenport….you can call me Davey

-I was born January 1st 1990. This means I am currently 20

-I started actually playing bass and guitar when I was 13. I kind of grew up with 11ty7, and when they started getting serious I started picking up Caleb’s bass when he wasn’t looking. This led to me being in a few bands, and co-founding a band called Days off Screen with Caleb’s little brother (my best friend) Matt. Days off Screen toured throughout High School, putting out 2 albums and a few eps. I cut my teeth in songwriting on those albums and the entire project remains quite close to my heart. Last year, Langston had the monumental thumb disaster, crushing it in the van door while on the road. My schedule happened to line up pretty well with the rest of that tour, so I agreed to come out and play guitar on the remaining shows. It was a ton of fun to be on the road with the guys, and to rekindle the old friendships. The following Fall, after Matt’s thumb had healed, I decided to start school full-time and to cut back on any extensive touring. Doing this for a while I realized that it was a mistake. Luckily God’s providence proved astounding once again. Caleb had been called to a different form of ministry, and in my conversations with him I heard a passionate human being who genuinely needed to follow the calling. Hesitant at first, I agreed to take some time off and go back out on the road with the guys. A few conversations transpired and the rest is history. So……here we are.
